too many choices

This picture I took from an article of the New York times. A relevant article because of the fact that we are living in a world of information overload. Online web usage is getting more and more functional instead of recreational. We don’t surf on the web just for our time consuming purposes. We are in search of information, we need products to buy, funny movies to watch. So our search to a website, app or iPad is directive.

The problem with the amount of information is that we get lost within the spaghetti. That’s why User Experience, Interaction Design and web analysis is getting a real important feature of the continuity of a website. Will you be able to generate traffic and to maintain traffic to your website, and are you getting this traffic converted into sales? The sales funnel is not only limited to your own website, but is getting more positioned within other (social) websites. Be sure that you use a tool like Radian 6 or likewise (BuzzCapture) to monitor what’s going on online.
